For the Young Children

Perhaps you're saying to your self, "This sounds great, but what does Chapel of Praise have to offer my children?"

The truth taught to us by our Pastors is that our children are not just the "church of tomorrow".  They are a vital part of the church today!  We believe Proverbs 22: 6, which says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. "  We believe that children learn what they live.  For this reason, our children are very involved in our services.  During Praise & Worship, the children stay with their parents.  All members of the congregation are encouraged to sing, praise, clap, dance and express their joy in and love for the Lord.  The children in our assembly enjoy participating in our services.  On Sunday mornings, when Praise & Worship ends and the Pastor is ready to deliver the Good News, the children are separated according to their age into classrooms to be taught about the love of God for us and other Bible stories and principles on a level suited to their maturity.  When Pastor Jack finishes, he sends for the children to participate in the "Penny March".  At this time, the musicians play a lively tune while the children march through the aisles collecting coins from members of the church to be sent to those serving in local and global mission fields.  The Penny March is not only fun for the little ones, but teaches them to be cheerful givers.  As 2 Corinthians 9:7 tells us, "... God loves a cheerful giver."

On Wednesday evenings, Bible Study is held.  Pastor Lola and other members of leadership take turns sharing & discussing the Word of God in an open forum.  The children are encouraged to listen and share as well.

We understand that children sometimes can't be still and quiet for as long as we might like.  We do our best to overlook small disturbances, but provide a nursery which the parents may take infants or children into to feed, change, calm or correct when the parent deems it necessary.

Matthew 19:14 - but Jesus said, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
